The country’s major city with a population estimate of 80,000 inhabitants is spotted on a small peninsula divided by the Haulover Creek, a tributary of the Belize River on the eastern side of the territory district bearing the same name. It’s by all means the country’s major port used for export operations of wood, sugar, seafood, citrus fruits, banana and other fruits.
