CTO’s Climate Smart Sustainable Tourism Forum Now in December

The Caribbean Tourism Organization's Climate Smart Sustainable Tourism Forum will be held Dec. 12 and 13 at the Ocean Terrace Inn in St. Kitts.

Originally scheduled for September, the forum was put on hold due to the hurricanes that impacted several member countries.

Themed "Good for Us, Better for All," general sessions will cover climate change adaptation, best practices in sustainable tourism, opportunities and methods to make changes profitable for destinations and lessons learned in the wake of the 2017 hurricane season and rehabilitation efforts.

RCCL’s Majesty of the Seas to Join Cuba Cruises

Royal Caribbean International will add a second ship that sails a Cuba itinerary, along with two new Cuba destinations, starting in the summer of 2018.

The Empress of the Seas, currently sailing Cuba cruises from Tampa, will be redeployed to Miami. In addition to a five-day trip that visits Key West and overnights in Havana, the Empress will sail a seven-night "Best of Cuba" itinerary that includes Cienfuegos, Havana and Nassau, Bahamas. An eight-night cruise will include Cienfuegos, Santiago de Cuba, Grand Cayman and Labadee, Haiti.
